How to Add Contacts to MailChimp

Login to MailChimp

Navigate to “Audience” on the left hand side menu

Click the “Manage Audience” drop-down menu on the right side of the screen

Select “Import Contacts”

Select “Upload a file”

Prepare your CSV Excel sheet. Preferred fields are First Name, Last Name, Company, Email

Upload your sheet and click, “Continue to organize”

Select “Subscribed” and check the box to update any existing contacts

When you tag your contacts, you can select tags you have already created or create a new one.

If you are creating a new tag, type the tag name and then click the create tag option right underneath it

From there, match the columns up with your fields you are uploading. If a field doesn’t already exist, you can create your own custom field by selecting “Create new field…” from the dropdown menu

Click Finalize Import

Click Complete Import
